the bellamy family project

Bellamy is a name that means “good friend”. Bellamy is the surname of my mother’s family. They were a proud family from Madison County in northwest Florida. The family’s patriarch was my grand uncle, Otis Bellamy. He was an individual who believed education is the key to success and was dedicated to service in the community. The Bellamy Family Corporation is a nonprofit organization established in 2021. In keeping with its meaning, “good friend” we are committed to service to the youth in the community. Our goal is to inform and advance the lives of young people. This will be accomplished through education, mentorship and exposure to new and interesting activities. We want to show young people a different path to achieve success. The different path is nothing new but it is a shift away from the avenues of instant gratification. Our program is called, The Bellamy Family Project. Our motto is “The smart path to youth success.” The Bellamy Family Corporation is dedicated to teaching the importance of hard work and commitment. Youth need to understand that the road to success is a process. Our plan to is to create partnerships with service providers in the community and connect youth with those providers. After the connection, it is our commitment to support everyone on a path to favorable outcomes.
